Time flies

I had a session last week with two sisters, one who is my daughter’s age and was actually in her 2nd grade class. I don’t know about you, but I never notice how much my own daughter has grown til I see a friend from her childhood. And then I realize.
So after the session, I came home and pulled out a family album from when she was 7 just to get a glimpse of who she used to be and then pulled out photos from a recent family vacation to see her as she is now at 12.
And that’s the beauty of photography. You can still go back and take a glimpse just to remember and somehow that helps with going forward and letting them grow.

Father’s Day sessions

This weather has made May photo sessions a spontaneous event this year, with last minute phone calls and decisions while pondering weather.com and accuweather (which is not accurate). However, thanks to patient parents with flexible schedules, and kids that are just happy to hang out with me in a park, we’ve managed to squeeze in most of the sessions in between rain storms. Why do I feel we’ve gone straight from drippy Spring to hot humid summer…time to pull out bathing suits and turn on the sprinklers. Summer sessions are here…

Spring at last…
Well, in typical format, I’ve gone straight from warm sunny days from last summer to the beginning of spring, skipping right over 5 months of the worst snowy winter yet in my years in Connecticut. So to celebrate the beginning of spring . . . a session from last summer at Tod’s Point in Greenwich…pure bliss.
Happy Spring everyone!
