As several of my clients know, I’ve been traveling back and forth to California these past two months taking care of family and seriously missing my family in Connectiuct.  I made it back in time for mother’s day and was treated like royalty all the live long day starting with breakfast in bed and finishing with a car wash…:)  Stina is now 10; a magical age where everything seems to change so quickly. At times, she can be tough to photograph ….mostly due to her recent aversion to the camera. I can’t blame her…every new lens, camera, flash, filter and experiment is tried out on her first. I get the standard eye roll and usually end up photographing our dog, Jake. So for this mother’s day,  my gift to myself was to capture her just as she is at this very moment in time as a 10 year old…which in my mind, is what photography is all about. Capturing a precious time that we’ll never see again, except in a photograph.
